    Frequently Asked Questions

    1. How Much Does This Course Cost?

    The site membership is only $17.  This is a one time only payment and site membership does not expire.  You may go back and review the materials whenever you wish.

    2. What Do I Receive?

    You gain access to sixteen HD video lessons that walk you through everything you need to look at before you consider buying a used car.  There is over two and a half hours of HD video, an eBook of the lesson material, an e-book of the video transcript and a checklist you can take when you look at a used car lot so you don’t miss anything.

    3. How Do I Join?

    You need to use the sign up form on our homepage.  We need you name and e-mail address to contact you with course information.  Your information will not be shared or sold to anyone.  Please see our Privacy Policy if you have any concerns.  Once you sign up, you will be taken to a registration form to create a Username and Password for the site.  After that, you will advance to the first free lesson.

    The four free lessons are released one per day.  At the bottom of each free lesson is a purchase button.  If you purchase the course at any time, you will immediately receive full access to all of the free lessons AND the paid portion of the course.

    4. How Do I Log In?

    Assuming you have a username and password, you may log in here.

    5. The System Won’t Let Me Log In… Why?

    For security reasons your account may be frozen and possibly terminated if the system detects log-ins from too many different IP addresses (different computers).  The Membership site is for your own personal use so please don’t share your log-in information with anyone.

    If this does occur (it may well be because you’re logging in from the office and from home on different computers), please email info@the-auto-doctor.com with an explanation and we’ll get the issue resolved asap. Unfortunately the membership security can only allocate one email address per account.  Please e-mail us using the e-mail address you used when signing up for the course.

    6. Why Can’t I Access The Course?

    Do you have a paid membership?  If so, you probably are not logged in to the site.  Computers get all nit-picky over things like that.  Try to log in here.

    7. I Forgot My Username And/Or Password…What Should I Do?

    At the log in, you have the option of entering the e-mail you used to sign up for this course and having the system send you this information.

    8. I Reset My Password And Still Can’t Access The Course.  What Do I Do?

    Give the system a few minutes to reset.  You should also close your browser window and re-open it.  When you come back to log in on The-Auto-Doctor.com all should be ready.

    9. Why Won’t My Username And Password Work?

    I have no idea.  Okay, I do.  The most likely issue is that you entered it incorrectly.  The system is case sensitive, so if you missed capitalizing something, or hit a wrong key – it won’t let you log on to the site.

    A less likely, but still possible problem is you, or your account may have tried to log in on more than one computer within a 24 hour period.  The system registers IP addresses for web site security.  Never share your log in information with anyone.  If you access the site from a public computer, be sure to log out before you end your session!

    10. I Signed Up But Never Received An E-Mail.  Why?  Where Is It?

    We forgot to put a stamp on it.  Actually, there could be a couple of reasons here.  Most likely, the e-mail was held up by a Spam filter on your e-mail host.  They can slow down deliveries.  Check your spam folder.  It may be in there.  Look for any e-mail coming from info@the-auto-doctor.com.  You should also add that e-mail address to your contact list.  If it doesn’t show up within an hour – and it isn’t in your spam folder, you may have entered your e-mail into the form incorrectly.  It happens.  Go to the home page of our site and try again.  When you get to the registration page – do not create a second profile or you may alter your original membership.

    11. The Video Won’t Play Or Freezes.  Why?

    Tell us you could watch the video on the homepage before you signed up!  If so, or you could see earlier videos, the problem is on your end.  Can you watch Youtube videos?  Please check, because if so, then our videos should not pose an issue.  Sometimes when video players update, they change codecs and create playback issues.  If the videos had played, and don’t now – you’ve had an update.  Contact your software provider to find out what is going on.

    If you couldn’t watch the videos before you signed up – why did you join?  Download the latest version of Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari (or any one of a million other browsers and see what plug-ins you need to play video.  Once you’ve done that, you should be fine.

    If the videos lock up or freeze and play – it could be a bad connection or slow internet feed.  We recommend you close your browser and try again.

    12.  What If I Am Not Happy With The Course?  How Do I Get A Refund?

    If your payment has been handled through ClickBank, requesting a refund from them is easy.
    Here are the steps for getting a refund from ClickBank.
    1. Once you are at www.ClickBank.com click on the ‘Order Help’ link at the top of the page.
    2. Fill in the form with all required information including your eight character order number you received just after purchasing your product. You must use the email address you used to sign up with. Your eight character order number is on the email receipt from ClickBank. You can always do a subject search for “Receipt for your ClickBank Order” to find out more about this.
    3. Choose cancel, or refund, and follow the prompts.
    4. Write out the reason you are requesting a refund in the ‘Question’ box and click submit.
    You should receive a notification via email that your refund has been credited back to credit card. ClickBank may take up to 5 working days.

    1. Find the original e-mail receipt sent from ClickBank for the product you bought.
    2. Find the CUSTOMER SERVICE section of your receipt e-mail (It is below the TECHNICAL SUPPORT section). Near the top of the Customer Service bit is a link, clicking this will bring you directly to your product support page.
    3. From this page there is no obvious refund request. However you need to click on the Get Support icon.
    4. This is where you can pick your support request type. You want to select refund.

    If your payment was made to Maher Studios through PayPal, requesting a refund is also easy. Just email tom@maherstudios.com. Send a copy of your PayPal receipt and the email address you used to sign up for this course. Your refund will be made a.s.a.p. Note: Please request your refund BEFORE the 30 day period has expired. 

    13. Can I Ask The Auto Doctor Ken Groves A Question?

    If there is a question left unanswered by this course, you may forward your question to info@the-auto-doctor.com.  We will make every effort to get the question answered and posted on the site as quickly as possible.  Our goal is to create the most comprehensive Used Car Buying Course available.

    If you have another auto related question, we are sorry.  Ken is extremely busy with his custom car clients and his many other projects.  He gets a lot of mail and can not physically get to everyone.
